At TypoSprint, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is collected, used, and safeguarded when you install and use the TypoSprint Chrome Extension and our landing page.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information: If you upgrade to the Pro plan and enable Cloud Sync, we collect your email address and encrypted password details to manage authentication via Supabase Auth services.

Snippets and Shortcuts: By default, all shortcuts, folders, and text templates you create are stored locally in your browser storage. If Cloud Sync is enabled, this data is sent securely to our cloud database to enable sync across your active devices.

Usage Data: We may collect anonymous telemetry regarding expansion frequencies to debug and improve extension performance. We do not track websites visited or capture keystrokes outside of your defined trigger abbreviations.

2. Chrome Extension Permissions

TypoSprint requires certain permissions to operate inside Chrome:

  • Storage: To store your text expansions, shortcuts, and folders configuration locally.
  • Tabs / ActiveTab: To insert expanded text content cleanly into the active text fields when your custom abbreviations are typed.

3. How We Secure Your Data

Security is a core focus of TypoSprint. When cloud sync is active, all communication between the extension and Supabase servers is fully encrypted using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer). Your passwords and snippets are stored safely, utilizing secure backend row-level security protocols.

4. Payment Processing

Subscriptions and lifetime purchase transactions are processed securely by Paddle, our merchant of record. We do not store or directly collect credit card numbers, banking details, or billing credentials on our servers.

5. Third-Party Disclosures

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data or snippets to any outside parties. We only share information with trustworthy sub-processors (like Supabase and Paddle) to the extent necessary to offer our authentication, storage, and billing flows.
